指の筋力がまだ十分でない小さいお子さまのレッスンにおいては、ドラムや木琴、マラカスなどピアノ以外の楽器を演奏してもらうことがあります。リズムに合わせて間違いを恐れず自由に音を出してもらうと、最初は緊張していた子どもたちも夢中になって笑顔が見えてくるのが印象的です。楽しいウォームアップの時間は、お子様のやる気を引き出してくれます。
Parents, did you know that the piano is a percussion instrument? In the piano lesson, many students worry about fingering mistakes, wrong notes, and sound quality. It's hard to have fun. At Sakura Piano and English Academy, you can practice and learn rhythm with percussion instruments that don't need many hours of practice to make good sounds. Students can have more fun learning. Their aim is to be able to play piano better in the end.

The instructor is a qualified Montessori education. Some principles of Montessori are applied in the learning process. First, the teacher needs to recognise what the child’s interests and skills are. Does she like to sing, or does she want to play drums or a xylophone. The piano is a big instrument. It can be very confusing to a young child. In the first lesson, I introduce different things. If there is one activity or instrument that the student enjoys more than others, this is a good place to begin.
2020年4月から小学校3年生から英語教育が必修化され、小学校5年生からは教科化されます。このような教育環境の変化に対応し、日頃から英語に慣れ親しませるため、Sakura Piano and English Academyでピアノレッスンはいかがでしょうか。英語だけのレッスンにも対応しておりますので、お問い合わせ下さい。
From April 2020, English education will be compulsory from the third grade of elementary school. From the 5th grade, it will be a compulsory subject. To respond to these changes in the educational environment and to familiarize yourself with English on a regular basis, take piano lessons at Sakura Piano and English Academy. We also support English-only lessons.

During your piano lessons, you can acquire native English pronunciation. Children who are new to piano lessons are also welcome.

茨城県つくば市のSakura Piano and English Academy(さくらピアノアンドイングリッシュアカデミー)では、幼児教育のモンテッソーリ教員資格をもつ講師が、生徒様の音楽への興味を引き出すレッスンを行っています。講師ダグラス・トンプソンが考える『モンテッソーリ教育に基づいたピアノレッスン』では、楽器にお子様が自発的に触れて弾くことからスタートします。ピアノを上手に弾くことを最終目標としながら、木琴やドラムを使用してリズム感を養い、ピアノが楽しく弾けることを学んでいきます。
We all play wrong notes. It takes time to play them correctly, a lot of time in fact. Rhythm can also be difficult. Trying to do both at the same time is the skill of the professional after many years of practice. Some students might be stressed by an expectation to play correctly soon. Learning piano, or any other musical instrument, requires many hours. For the very young this can be too much. At Sakura Piano and English Academy, the teacher applies Montessori techniques by waiting for the learner to show an interest in a particular instrument or music activity. In the studio there is a wide variety of pitched and unpitched percussion instruments. Learners do not have to worry about wrong notes while concentrating on rhythm.

- まず、世界各国から取り寄せた打楽器の中から、自分の好きな打楽器を選びます。
- 次に、音楽に合わせて、先生と一緒に楽器を演奏します。（自由に音を出します）
- Preparation before touching the piano keys, practicing rhythm and fingering are important.
- First, choose your favourite percussion instrument such as the tongue drum, xylophone, claves, bongos among others.
- Next, play music freely with the instrument along with the teacher.

失敗を気にしないで楽器を演奏することは、音楽を楽しむ気持ちを育てます。ピアノ演奏で一番大切なのは、ピアノを弾いていて楽しいという気持ちです。保護者の皆様に特にお伝えしたいことは、ミスなくピアノ演奏できることは素晴らしいことですが、それよりも大切にしていることは、感性豊かに演奏できるピアノプレーヤーを育成することです。

小さいお子さまやピアノを弾く時に緊張してしまう人に向けたレッスンです。リズム感を養いながら楽しくピアノが弾けるようになりましょう。今までに経験したことのない、自由で楽しいピアノレッスンを体験して下さい。最初からピアノがうまく弾けなくても大丈夫。ドラムやマラカス、木琴などの楽器を先生と一緒に演奏してリズム感を養い、楽しく音楽に触れて下さい。音楽とピアノがきっと好きになるでしょう。安心してレッスンを受けて下さいね。
For young children and those who get nervous easily when playing the piano, learn to cultivate a better sense of rhythm and control of the sounds you make. The piano is a stringed percussion instrument. It needs a lot of difficult skills. In my lessons, students practice melody and rhythm, but not always together. They use a variety of instruments including the xylophone, tongue drum, maracas, claves, bongos and others as well as the piano. They will have opportunities to learn about rhythm without always worrying about the right notes or fingerings. These are advanced skills for a young child.
ピアノを学ぶということ/ Learning the piano
10本の指は、最初から思ったように動いてくれません。10本の指を、それぞれ自由気ままに踊る10人の踊り子に例えてみましょう。それぞれ違う動きをする10人の踊り子(10本の指)を訓練して、こちらの指示通りに動かせるようになるには、手、腕、体の動きを一体化できるコントロール能力を学ぶ必要があります。ピアノを習得することは、時間をかけることでもあるということを保護者の方には、ぜひご理解いただけましたら幸いです。
Learning the piano is like training 10 young dancers to move in different ways at different times. It takes considerable time to gain control of your hand, arm and body movements which, together, produce the sound of each instrument, whichever it might be.

小さいお子さま向け英語レッスン
English lessons for small children
ゲーム、歌、物語などのアクティビティを通して、子どもたちがネイティブイングリッシュを学ぶことを目標とし、それぞれのレベルに合わせたマンツーマンレッスンを行っています。英語を学び始める幼児を対象に、テキスト「Gogo Loves English for children」を使用します。Gogoシリーズは日本の学校の授業にも使用されている教材で、リスニング、スピーキング、リーディング、ライティングに適しています。(テキストは¥2,200程度で、当教室でも販売しております。)
Especially very young children learn by actively doing something. My goal is for children to learn English through activities such as games, songs and stories and other learning materials. Attractive picture books with quality design and artwork are helpful.
The recommended teaching material is "Gogo Loves English", which is sold in illustrated textbooks tailored to different levels and ages of the learners, including children who are just beginning to learn English. The Gogo series has been used in schools in Japan for a number of years. Children can learn through watching, listening, speaking, reading and writing.
8歳以上のお子さま向け英語レッスン
English lessons for children 8 years and older
講師との英会話レッスンの中で、『伝わる英語』を学んでいきましょう。リスニング、スピーキング、リーディング、ライティングのスキルを伸ばします。個々のレベルに合わせた英会話レッスンは、ゆっくりですが着実に、発音と聞き取りの力を伸ばせます。8歳以上のお子様には、「British Council Kids For children aged 8 and up」をお勧めします。ネィティブの子どもたちも使用している教材で『使える英語』を身につけることを目標とします。
For children 8 years old and over, we recommend British Council Kids language learning materials.You will develop listening, speaking, reading and writing skills. English conversation lessons are tailored to each level.You can improve your speaking and listening skills slowly but steadily.
13歳以上のお子さま向け英語レッスン
English lessons for children 13 years and older
アカデミックな英語や一般英語まで幅広い語彙を学びましょう。将来的に海外の大学へ留学することをお考えであれば、“IELTS試験”の対策としてリスニング、スピーキング、リーディング、ライティングのスキルを伸ばしていきましょう。「British Council Teens for children aged 13 and up」は、“IELTS”の準備と対策に適しています。マンツーマンのオリジナルレッスンですから、聞き取り強化など「伸ばしたいスキル」だけを勉強することもできます。 ぜひご相談下さい。

For children 13 and over, we recommend the British Council Teens materials to improve listening, speaking, reading and writing skills in English at a more advanced level. 体験レッスンは20分で、料金は2,000円(税込み)です。(アドバイスも含めますと、所要時間は、約25～30分です。)
